The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and Trakia University in Stara Zagora have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to strengthen research, education, and innovation in Bulgaria, BAS said in a press release Monday. The signing, by BAS President Academician Evelina Slavcheva and Trakia University Rector Prof. Miroslav Karabaliev, aims to support the National Strategy for Scientific Research 2017–2030.
The partnership will focus on hydrogen technologies, fuel cells, hydrogen mobility, smart agriculture, biotechnology, digitalization, automation, and robotics. It also includes initiatives to support doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, as well as young scientists, in advancing their academic careers.
The agreement is designed to foster a collaborative environment for experience sharing and joint projects, enhancing the quality and impact of scientific and creative work in the country, said BAS.
