The Russian overnight attack caused damage to critical infrastructure in the southern part of Odesa Oblast, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper said on his Telegram channel.
"During the night, the enemy once again attacked Odesa Oblast with drones. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility. A production building was damaged, and property belonging to the enterprise was affected. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries. The fire was quickly extinguished by emergency services," Kiper said.
According to information from the operational headquarters of the Izmail District State Administration, the drone strike was directed at territory within Izmail District.
The attack was once again aimed at critical infrastructure, the operational headquarters added.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
