The government appointed Todor Tabakov from the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a member of the Management Board of the State Fund for Ensuring the Sustainability of the State Pension System (the so-called Silver Fund) for 2026.

Tabakov is Deputy Chairman of the BCCI and replaces, Lyubomir Peinovski, according to the rotational principle for nominating a Management Board member from the nationally representative employer organizations. Tabakov meets the legal requirements for educational qualifications, professional experience, and compatibility, for which he has submitted the relevant documents.

The Silver Fund is managed by a Management Board composed of eight members, with the Minister of Finance serving as its Chairman and the Minister of Labor and Social Policy as Deputy Chairman.
