Bulgaria's Stefani Stoeva and Tsvetina Popivanova have secured three medals at the International Series badminton tournament in Cardiff, Wales.

Top seed Stefani Stoeva claimed her third straight victory, defeating Lucie Krulova of the Czech Republic 21–13, 21–11 in just 29 minutes. On Sunday, she will face seventh seed Xu Wei of Austria for a place in the final.

In women’s doubles, Stoeva and Popivanova, seeded fifth, also reached the semi-finals after defeating Agathe Cuevas and Kathell Desmots-Chacun of France 15–21, 21–15, 21–12 in 51 minutes.

Their next opponents will be fourth-seeded Anna Klausholm and Laerke Hvid of Denmark.

Eighth seed Gergana Pavlova exited the tournament in the quarter-finals after losing to Denmark’s Athene Thornild 9–21, 21–13, 11–21 in 41 minutes.
