The 2nd Festival of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad will take place in Burgas from September 18 to 20, the Association of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad said.

The organizers said the festival is not competitive and is held with the sole aim of promoting Bulgarian folklore ensembles abroad and in Bulgaria. The festival's main objectives are to provide a Bulgarian stage for folklore ensembles from abroad and to help them get to know one other and work together.

The regulations specify that the festival is open to individual performers or ensembles from abroad who specialize in Bulgarian folk music, singing or dance. There are no age limits or restrictions on the minimum number of performers. Each performance may last up to ten minutes. Registration is open until the maximum number of participants is reached, or no later than May 31, 2026.

The event is organized by the Association of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad and Fairy Tales Post Box, with the support of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad and Burgas Municipality.

The first Festival of Bulgarian Folklore Ensembles Abroad took place in Veliko Tarnovo in 2025. Nine ensembles from Germany, Italy, France, Romania, Hungary and Sweden and two soloists from Germany and Argentina participated in it.
