site.btaNearly 200 Units of Firefighting Equipment to Be Provided by Year-End - Interior Minister

Nearly 200 units of various firefighting equipment will be delivered by the end of the year, including 20 surveillance drones, over 70 mobile systems, and various types of fire engines, Interior Minister Daniel Mitov said during parliamentary oversight on Friday.

Since the beginning of last year, six mobile tanks for refueling military aircraft used by the Interior Ministry in certain situations have been secured, the Minister noted.

More than 4,000 masks have been purchased and several hundred fire trucks have been supplied, he reported.

Mitov also highlighted that military equipment was used during efforts to extinguish the fire in Arbanasi.

Bulgaria traditionally has a serious situation with wild fires during the summer months.
