Parliamentary Committee on Policies for Bulgarians Abroad Chair Stoyan Taslakov addressed the ninth international Bulgarian reading contest Az Buki Vedi at the Bulgarian Embassy in London on Saturday.
He stressed that it was a great honour for him to be present not only as the chair of the parliamentary committee, but also as a supporter of the Bulgarian communities abroad.
Taslakov expressed his gratitude to the Bulgarian School Chuchuliga in Croydon, London, which hosted this year's edition of the competition, as well as to the founders - the Bulgarian Sunday School Az Buki Vedi in Cologne. He wished success to all participants.
Among the official guests of the competition in London were Education Ministry's Education of Bulgarians Abroad Department Expert Asen Petrov, parliamentary Committee on Policies for Bulgarians Abroad Deputy Chair Denitsa Simeonova, as well as other members of the Committee.
The event was also attended by State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Senior Expert Lili Spasova, Bulgarian Cultural Institute London Director Svetla Dionisieva, Maya Kozhuharova, the Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of the Big Ben media outlet, as well as Yordanka Velkova - lecturer in Bulgarian language in London.
The event was also attended by Bulgarian News Agency Director General Kiril Valchev and Bulgarian National radio Director General Milen Mitev.
