New offers at the Hexaya Wellness Center in the five-star InterContinental Sofia focus on anti-stress therapies and advanced technologies designed to deliver a deeper physical and mental effect. Located in the heart of the capital, the center provides fast, effective treatments tailored to busy professionals - allowing clients to return to their daily routine immediately after a session without compromising their appearance. The new services are expected to boost interest, particularly among business clients.
Ivan Mihaylov, founder of Camelot SPA, told BTA that the company was among the first in Bulgaria to introduce international spa standards in the late 1990s. Over 30 years, it has partnered with leading hotel brands and served more than 300,000 clients, including international business travelers and global celebrities. Since 2021, it has managed Hexaya Wellness Center at InterContinental Sofia, located in the city center at Narodno Sabranie Square.
Targeting high-end clients seeking privacy and professionalism, the center stands out for its award-winning design by Italian architect Silvia Giannini, as well as its personalized approach and strict adherence to international therapy protocols. Signature treatments include premium massages with non-greasy products and the exclusive Zero Gravity flotation therapy—a 60-minute anti-stress treatment that improves sleep, relieves tension, and supports physical recovery.
Future plans include introducing new services such as an oxygen bar and expanding staff training programs. The center also highlights its international partnerships and the recognition of InterContinental Sofia, which holds a Michelin Key and has repeatedly been named Bulgaria’s leading hotel at the World Travel Awards.
BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
