for Contributing to Vaccination Campaign
Sofia, October 1 (BTA) - Bulgarian Health Minister Stoycho Katsarov Monday presented a Badge of Honour, First Class, to Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Director General Kiril Valchev, for contributing to the COVID vaccination campaign.
Katsarov thanked Valchev and the entire staff of the Agency for their support and contribution to the immunization process in recent months. "BTA has taken an active stance and has demonstrated social responsibility, launching a special news section about COVID vaccination," the Health Minister said at the BTA National Press Club.
"BTA plays an important role, which may help to convince more Bulgarians to get vaccinated," Katsarov added.
"We are highly impressed and appreciate what you are doing", he pointed out.
Valchev said that BTA had provided free access to the news feed on the subject from its partner national news agencies and had set up a special section where all these items are run.
"We use facts, which are the most convincing way to confirm or reject something," the BTA chief said. Vaccines are a way of surviving the pandemic, he added. RY/KK/LG
