The American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) is leading a delegation of representatives from six Bulgarian companies to the United States to attend the Annual International Conference and Exhibition of the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), AmCham said in a press release on Tuesday.

AUSA hosts global events that allow companies to present their products and connect with industry leaders, the US Army, the Department of Defense, and the US Congress. The annual AUSA meeting, held each October in Washington, D.C., draws more than 30,000 attendees.

AmCham noted that membership in the organization offers significant opportunities for positioning AmCham, its Bulgarian member companies, and Bulgaria itself in fostering new partnerships, development, and innovation in the defense and digital economy sectors.

AmCham Chief Executive Officer Ivan Mihaylov said AmCham’s membership in AUSA is a strategic move that enhances the work of the Chamber’s US office. Since its establishment in 2021, the office’s primary role has been to support and connect Bulgarian and American businesses.

He noted that participation in the AUSA Annual Meeting and Exhibition draws hundreds of leading United States and global companies, and thousands of high-level government, military, and business representatives involved in decision-making. AmCham aims to secure Bulgaria’s ongoing presence in this unique community by showcasing our scientific and development capabilities, both public and private. To further strengthen the country’s visibility, AmCham has initiated multilateral coordination and collaboration with the relevant Bulgarian institutions.
