Bulgaria's Vladimir Zografski finished 32nd in the ski jumping men's normal hill event at the Olympics here on Monday. He failed to find the right symmetry during the flight in his first attempt and landed at 98.0 metres, which won him 121.5 points, a point away from the first 30 athletes progressing to the final round.
Zografski was extremely dissatisfied with his performance. He did significantly better during the two training days, twice exceeding the 100-metre mark, but was unable to repeat this achievement in Monday's competition. "There is no way I can be satisfied with such poor jumps. I showed strong results during training, I am in good shape, everything was going well, but then the two weakest jumps of the season happened today [Monday] at the Olympic Games," said Zografski.
This was his fourth Olympics, his best result being 14th place in the normal hill competition of 2018.
Zografski will also compete in the large hill event in Predazzo on February 14.
