site.btaPM Zhelyazkov to Hold Meetings with Moldovan President Sandu and Moldovan Parliament President Grosu

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will hold meetings with Moldovan Parliament President Igor Grosu, the press service of the Council of Ministers said. 

The meetings are part of Zhelyazkov's two-day visit to Moldova, which ends on Monday. 

Later on Monday, Prime Minister Zhelyazkov will lay a wreath at the monument to Stephen the Great, a prominent ruler of Moldova who is considered a national hero and symbol of the country's independence and statehood.

The Prime Minister spoke with his Moldovan counterpart Dorin Recean on Sunday. The two discussed Moldova's European integration, the situation of the Bulgarian community in the country, and opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic ties. Prime Minister Zhelyazkov, together with Prime Minister Recean and Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev, visited the city of Taraclia. Later, they visited the branch of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse in the city. A ceremony was held at the university to sign an agreement on the transfer of ownership of the premises of the former Taraclia University to the branch of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse in Taraclia.
