Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Petar Mladenov opened the national conference Youth Policy in Action: Roadmap and Local Partnerships, the press centre of the ministry announced on Tuesday. The conference, organized by the Youth and Sports Ministry, brought together representatives of municipalities, youth centres, organizations and experts from across the country to discuss the development of youth policy at local and national levels.

In his welcome address, Mladenov expressed his gratitude to the three national working groups at the Youth and Sports Ministry for their consistent and thorough work on a Roadmap for youth work, the concept of National Youth Capital, and the report of the EU Youth Dialogue, all of which were presented during the event.

Mladenov said that young people are the bearers of energy, innovation, critical thinking and new ideas and will become the leaders, entrepreneurs, creators and active citizens of tomorrow. He added that investing in youth policies is a strategic opportunity and a foundation for future sustainable development, the ministry announcement said.
