site.btaPresident Radev Arrives on Official Visit to Tashkent

President Rumen Radev arrived on an official visit to Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Monday. The head of State was welcomed at the airport by the country's Prime Minister, Abdulla Aripov. Bulgarian flags were placed at the airport and around the city.

On Tuesday, Radev and Aripov will pay their respects at the Independence Monument in New Uzbekistan Park, after which a welcoming ceremony will be held for the Bulgarian head of State at the Kuksaroy Presidential Palace by the country's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Radev and Mirziyoyev will hold a one-on-one meeting and lead plenary talks between the two official delegations.
 
The Presidents of Bulgaria and Uzbekistan will sign a joint statement on strengthening bilateral political dialogue and cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, connectivity, culture and educational exchanges. Within the framework of the visit, a cooperation programme with a horizon of 2026-2027 will be signed between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries and a memorandum of understanding between the Sofia Municipality and the Tashkent Municipality.
