Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Friday discussed with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov security guarantees and cooperation in the energy sector, Ukrinform reported on Saturday.
"We discussed the current key priorities - achieving a complete and unconditional ceasefire and security guarantees. Pressure on Russia must be intensified to ensure peace," the President wrote on Telegram.
Their conversation took place as part of Zhelyazkov's series of bilateral meetings in Tirana, where the Sixth Summit of the European Political Community took place.
The two leaders also discussed energy cooperation and the development of bilateral relations.
"It is extremely important for Ukraine to complete the construction of the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant and I am grateful to Bulgaria for the assistance provided. No less important is our joint work in the framework of the demining coalition. This is a security issue for the entire Black Sea region," Zelenskyy stressed.
Zelenskyy also met with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Zhelezkov held talks with EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
