Meeting with President Radev Sunday, European Council President Antonio Costa underscored the importance of proximity between the European Union, societies, companies and citizens, adding that Bulgaria has a key role to play in the European Union.
He reiterated that Bulgaria is doing very well on the path of joining the euro – a comment he made earlier Sunday emerging from a meeting with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
