The Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport Glenn Micallef is visiting Bulgaria on Thursday and Friday, the European Commission reported on Thursday.

Micallef will take part in the ceremony announcing the 15 nominations for the Music Moves Europe awards as part of the SoAlive Music Conference & Festival on Thursday. The annual EU awards in the field of popular and contemporary music, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme, aim to recognize and promote new talent in contemporary music.

On Friday, Micallef will participate in a discussion dedicated to the Culture Compass for Europe and in a special session on cultural policy and the development of the music business in Europe, organized as part of the conference.

The commissioner will also meet with Minister of Youth and Sports Ivan Peshev, Minister of Culture Marian Bachev, and with representatives from the National Youth Forum.
