Bulgarian athletes won six medals, three gold and three bronze, at the Multi European Games Taekwondo 2025 in Nis, Serbia. Viktoria Ivanova was chosen best judge at the tournament.
Stefan Stamenov won gold in the seniors male -68 kg category, after four wins and no lost rounds.
Veselina Angelova and Atanas Vakavchiev won gold in the cadets division. Angelova, in the -51 kg category, triumphed with five consecutive victories, Vakavchiev, in the -53 kg, played four matches on his way to winning the title. Both are representatives of sports club Gladiator, whose coach is Ventsislav Mihalchev.
Ivaylo Petrov, Viktor Vangelov and Kosara Ivanova won bronze medals in the cadets division.
Almost 2000 athletes took part in the competition which was held from August 29 to 31. Organized under the auspices of the European Taekwondo Union and sanctioned by World Taekwondo, the event featured competitions in three divisions: cadets, juniors, and seniors, with athletes competing for global and continental ranking points.
