Bulgaria’s ensemble has won the bronze medal in the five ribbons event for senior groups at the 2025 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. The team also finished fifth in the three-ball and two-hoop event and qualified for the Cross Battles.
The Bulgarian team, made up of Sofia Ivanova, Rachel Stoyanov, Alina Kolomiets, Suzan Pouladian, Danaia Atanasova, and Viktoria Georgieva, scored a total of 45.050 points, earning 21.950 for their five ribbons routine and 23.100 for their performance with three balls and two hoops. The ensemble placed fourth in the Cross Battles qualifications and will face the Ukraine team in a direct elimination round on Saturday.
The Bulgarian athletes took the bronze medal on five ribbons with a score of 21.950 points (11.100 points for difficulty; 6.650 points for artistry; 5.100 points for execution). The gold went to the Italian team with 24.900 points. Estonia took the silver with 22.000 points.
Bulgaria’s ensemble finished fifth in the three-ball and two-hoop event with 23.100 points (11.700 points for difficulty, 6.850 for artistry, 5.150 for execution). Azerbaijan won the gold medal with a score of 24.700 points. Silver went to Ukraine with 24.350 points and bronze to Italy with 24.000 points.
So far, Bulgaria has earned two bronze medals at the competition. Earlier in the day, Dara Malinova secured third place in the individual clubs event.
Bulgaria's junior group, comprised of Raya Bozhilova, Yoana Moteva, Anania Dimitrova, Gabriela Traykova, Ivayla Velkovska and Elena Hristova, will compete on Saturday.
