The conditions for hiking in the mountains are good, the Mountain Rescue Service told BTA on Wednesday.

The weather is cloudy in places. Temperatures are around 0C. In the high parts of the mountains there is a light wind.

Mountain rescuers advise tourists to take care when crossing steep snowy slopes. Slipping is a major risk this season, the rescue service added.

Lift facilities in mountain resorts are working and there are good conditions for winter sports.

No incidents involving tourists have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
