Bulgarian alpine skier Albert Popov will start with number 18 in the slalom at the Olympics in Milan Cortina on Monday. The 28-year-old Popov will only compete in his signature discipline at the Winter Games in Italy, after finishing 9th in the slalom and 17th in the giant slalom in Beijing 2022.
In Monday's competition, 25-year-old Kalin Zlatkov, who made his Olympic debut on February 14 with a 37th place finish in the giant slalom, will also compete under number 40.
The first run of the competition on the Stelvio slope in Bormio starts at 11:00 a.m., and the second is at 2:30 p.m.
A total of 96 alpine skiers are registered to participate in the men's slalom.
