Bulgarian badminton players Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva qualified for the semi-finals in the women’s doubles event of the BWF Tour Super 100 series in Cuttack, India, thus securing a medal from the international tournament.

The Stoevi sisters, top seeded in the competition, defeated the fifth seeded Lanny Tria Mayasari and Amalia Pratiwi (Indonesia) after a 16:21, 21:12, 21:19 comeback in 57 minutes, registering their third win in the tournament.

The Bulgarians lost the first game, but then took the lead and tied the score. The third game was even, but Stoevi Sisters took a 20:18 lead in the end and closed the match.

In the semi-finals, the Bulgarian duo will play third seeded Isyana Meida and Rinjani Nastine (Indonesia).
