site.btaSmart Cities, Intersection of Technology and Society in Focus at Sixth Edition of Tech Park Talks


The development of smart cities and the interaction between technology and society will be the focus of the sixth edition of Tech Park Talks, organized by Sofia Tech Park in partnership with the Out Loud Foundation, the organizers said on Monday. The event will take place on October 14, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the John Atanasoff Hall at Sofia Tech Park under the theme “Smart Cities: The Future of Us – Where Technology Meets Humanity”.
According to the announcement, the forum will present innovative solutions and best practices from Bulgaria and across Europe in the fields of urban mobility, sustainable development, digital governance, and the architecture of the future. Key topics will include AI technologies for managing urban environments, sustainable buildings and green infrastructure, as well as the role of business and innovation ecosystems in shaping smart cities.
Among the participants in the event are Prof. Vladimir Poulkov, Head of the Intelligent Communication Infrastructures Laboratory at Sofia Tech Park; Prof. Simeon Stoyanov from the Discoverer Supercomputer and AI factory BRAIN++; Kalin Stoev – Head of Research and Development at MYX; Dilyana Yakova from Philip Morris Bulgaria; architect Yavor Panev from the Optimistas Foundation; sustainable design expert architect Iva Stanisheva; Lyubomir Yanchev, CEO of MClimate; and artist Nasimo, who will present his project “OVER THE WALL”, dedicated to the connection between art and the urban environment.
The organizers note that Tech Park Talks is a well-established series of events aimed at fostering dialogue among experts, businesses, and citizens about the role of technology in society. The October edition will provide a platform for exchanging ideas and experience among professionals from various fields involved in building sustainable, inclusive, and technologically advanced cities.
