site.btaRegional Development Ministry Trains Stara Zagora Businesses to Access EU Modernization Funds

Experts from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works will hold an information day aimed at businesses in Stara Zagora and the region, which will present opportunities for modernizing enterprises and supporting jobs under the Operational Programme Development of Regions 2021-2027, the Ministry's press service reported on Friday.

The event will take place at the Stara Zagora Hotel on August 28. Representatives of large enterprises from the Stara Zagora region and the surrounding municipalities—Nova Zagora, Sliven, Yambol, Elhovo, Tundzha, Simeonovgrad, Harmanli, Topolovgrad, Dimitrovgrad, and Haskovo, will be able to learn from experts how to take advantage of European grants to compensate for job losses, production investments, the implementation of energy production capacities, including hydrogen, opportunities for high-efficiency production, and more.

The programme's budget is nearly BGN 463 million. Large enterprises that meet the criteria can apply with projects until November 28, 2025, with a minimum project value of BGN 1 million and a maximum of BGN 20 million.

In late February, experts from the Directorate General Strategic Planning and Programs for Regional Development at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works presented details of the "Diversification and adaptation of small and medium-sized enterprises to economic transition" procedure to businesses in Stara Zagora.
