A beach concert in Pomorie will launch the 2025 summer tourist season, the Tourism Ministry said Saturday, highlighting the resort’s mix of seaside leisure, history, culture, spa and wellness attractions.
Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh said the choice of Pomorie recognises local efforts to blend tradition with modern development and aligns with the Ministry’s priorities of safety, high-quality services and promoting Bulgaria as a year-round destination. A mountain-tourism festival in Chepelare will follow in late June as part of the same campaign.
The launch begins with a forum titled Brand Pomorie: Spa Capital of the Southern Black Sea Coast in the Grand Hotel Pomorie conference hall, where officials, historians, archaeologists, tourism experts and local stakeholders will discuss cultural-heritage projects, new historical routes and plans for spa, wellness and wine tourism.
Later in the afternoon, the Bulgarian Navy will join a flag-raising ceremony at the fishing port, where the national flag and the newly awarded Blue Flag will be hoisted.
In the evening, Pomorie South Beach will host a concert organised by the Ministry and Pomorie Municipality, featuring Stefan Valdobrev and the Usual Suspects, who will premiere the single Svoboden from the forthcoming album Acoustic Bulgaria. The line-up also includes Papi Hans, the Mystery of Bulgarian Voices, DJ Dimo and others.
“We want to start summer 2025 with the attention it deserves, recognizing everyone who comes to Bulgaria to recharge. Music is the ideal way to begin,” Borshosh said.
The Tourism Ministry will back the launch with a digital, radio and outdoor advertising campaign designed to position Bulgaria as a preferred destination throughout all 365 days of the year.
