site.btaGovernment Approves BGN 4.3 Bln in EU, National Funding for Agriculture in 2025


At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the government approved the annual budget estimates for funds from the European Union allocated to the State Fund Agriculture for 2025.
A total of approximately BGN 4.287 billion is planned to finance the Ministry of Agriculture and Food’s policies in agriculture, rural development, fisheries, and aquaculture.
Of this amount, BGN 3.421 billion will come from the European Union, and BGN 865 million from the national budget.
Under the 2014 – 2020 Rural Development Programme, BGN 1.484 billion are planned.
Some BGN 984,000,000 are envisaged for interventions from the co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2023 - 2027 period.
Some BGN 150,000,000 are envisaged for market measures, including BGN 78,000,000 under the Strategic Plan. The payments envisaged are mainly for viniculture and winemaking, beekeeping, school fruit and school milk schemes.
BGN 1.627 billion is envisaged for direct payments from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund.
More than BGN 40 million are planned for fisheries.
