site.btaFinance Ministry: BGN 1.8 Bln Y/Y Revenue Growth under Consolidated Fiscal Programme by April 2025


Revenues, allowances and donations under the Consolidated Fiscal Programme (CFP) as of April 2025 have increased by BGN 1.8 billion compared to the same period of 2024, according to the preliminary data and estimates for the budget implementation, and their amount is expected to reach BGN 24.5 billion or a growth of 7.7%, the Finance Ministry said in a press release on Monday. The biggest contributor to the positive result is tax revenue, which increased by BGN 2.4 billion or 13.3% compared to April 2024. Over the same period, non-tax revenues rose by BGN 0.1 billion, while receipts in the part of aid and donations were lower by BGN 0.7 billion.
The CFP expenditure (including Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget) as of April 2025 is BGN 26.4 billion.
The share of Bulgaria's contribution to the EU budget paid as of April 30, 2025 from the central budget amounts to BGN 0.7 billion, which is in line with the current EU own resources legislation.
On the basis of preliminary data and estimates, the budget balance of the CFP at the end of April 2025 is expected to be a deficit of BGN 1.9 billion (0.9% of projected GDP).
