site.btaParliament Ratifies Agreement on Cooperation with US in Building New Capacity in Kozloduy N-plant

Parliament ratified Friday an agreement between Bulgaria and the United States for cooperation on a project to build nuclear capacity at the Kozloduy N-plant site and Bulgaria's civil nuclear programme. The ratification went through in a 161-56 vote with three abstentions.

The ratification bill was adopted at first reading on March 14 after Parliament obliged the energy minister to take actions to make a positive decision to build a new nuclear power plant using the AP1000 technology.
