Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov met with business representatives in Varna, on the Black Sea, to discuss the upcoming state budget, the party’s press centre reported on Saturday. The meeting was attended by owners of small and medium-sized enterprises who expressed deep concern over a series of changes planned in the draft budget.

The discussion covered the mandatory use of registered sales management software, the dividend tax, and the increase in social security contributions. Kostadinov presented Vazrazhdane’s proposals for the budget and stressed that the party will oppose the current draft state budget not only through amendments and debates in Parliament but also through protests. The continuous rise of the national debt was also discussed.

Entrepreneurs voiced concern that the state has turned into a repressive apparatus, with institutions frequently used as a blunt instrument, and that the administrative burden remains excessively high, the press centre added.
