site.btaEnergy Ministry: Memorandum Strengthens Strategic Partnership Between Bulgaria and Italy in Energy Sector
The Energy Ministry and Confindustria Bulgaria signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership, the press centre of the ministry announced on Tuesday. The document expands opportunities for interaction by creating a framework for the exchange of best practices and enhanced cooperation in areas such as gasification, hydrogen technology development, and modern energy solutions.
"Cooperation between institutions and business is a crucial element for the timely development of the energy environment in Europe," Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov said. He expressed confidence that utilizing the full potential of the Memorandum will provide additional stimulus and broaden the horizons for the sector in the modernization process. "In the context of dynamic markets, technological breakthroughs, and increased sustainability requirements, such partnerships provide the necessary predictability, experience, and access to innovation," Stankov added.
Roberto Santorelli, President of Confindustria Bulgaria, described the partnership between the business sector and institutions and the sharing of experience as a strategic advantage for both countries: "Both Bulgaria and Italy will have the opportunity to accelerate technological innovation and thus increase competitiveness."
The document focuses on joint initiatives that will create additional economic opportunities for both countries through effective planning and close coordination of state policies and the real needs of business, the statement said.
The memorandum was signed on Tuesday at the Energy Ministry. Italian Ambassador Marcello Apicella attended the ceremony.
Confindustria Bulgaria has supported Italian entrepreneurs for years, its mission being to assist and protect companies in their business in Bulgaria, and work to increasingly develop trade and economic relations between Italy and Bulgaria.
