Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil and the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), Dimitar Radev, held a meeting here on Tuesday at the Sofia Metropolitanate, said the central bank.

In the context of the current uncertain global environment, the two discussed the role of spirituality and traditional values for society’s resilience. The importance of stability, trust, and responsibility, both in the financial and in the spiritual sphere, was also discussed, the BNB reported. Patriarch Daniil emphasized the need for cooperation between the Church and state institutions for the benefit of the people. The bank’s governor expressed his respect for the spiritual mission of the Church and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to continue working in the public interest.
