site.btaBTA Awarded for Most Complete, Accurate Coverage of National Children's Book Festival in Sliven

Once again, the Bulgarian News Agency was awarded for the full and accurate coverage of the events within the 27th National Children's Book Festival in Sliven, which took place from May 12 to 14. At the closing news conference on May 19, the Director of the Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library, Rositsa Petrova, presented BTA with a statuette and a diploma for the media support and committed coverage.

The festival gathered more than 7,500 participants from the country and abroad. The diverse programme included premieres of new books by established Bulgarian children's authors, literary marathons, creative workshops, exhibitions, theatrical performances and concerts. Among the guests were writers from Bulgaria and abroad.

In 2025, the festival coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Sava Dobroplodni Regional Library. On this occasion, a series of celebratory events took place - competitions, exhibitions, a gala concert-performance, as well as a meeting of librarians from the country, at which honorary awards were presented to deserving cultural figures.

The event was organized by the Regional Library with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sliven Municipality, Sliven Regional Administration, Sliven Municipal Council, the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, leading publishers and sponsors.

The festival was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and with the media partnership of BTA.
