"Harmonature - Harmonizing the Nature of Nusantara" is a concert-performance that will take place on June 8, at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, organizers from the Embassy of Indonesia in Bulgaria announced on Monday.

They said the event aims to highlight the harmony between nature and culture in Indonesia, and to promote sustainable living.

The festival includes a number of audio-visual performances that showcase the beauty, diversity and vibrancy of Indonesian culture, and present elements of Bulgarian folklore. An orchestra led by renowned composer Erwin Gutawa will present traditional Indonesian music with ethnic and classical instruments, while Bulgarian folk singer Petya Paneva will collaborate with Indonesian musicians to showcase the fusion of these two rich musical cultures, organisers say. Pesona Mawar Nusantara, the dance group of the Indonesian Embassy in Sofia, will perform traditional dances.

In addition to the music and dance performances, the festival will feature Indonesia's new sustainable forest capital, Nusantara, and a 3D mapping projection on the ancient ruins of the Ancient Theatre, highlighting the intersection of culture and nature.

The event will also feature a fashion show by Sejauh Mata Memandang, an Indonesian textile and lifestyle brand that celebrates Indonesia's multicultural heritage.
