Some of the graduates of the Children's Piano School in Bosilegrad demonstrated their skills in a concert hosted by the Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy in Sofia.
Accordionists from the class of Assoc. Dr. Dobromir Mitev played for almost an hour. Outside the script, 8-year-old Jovana Milenova and 11-year-old Martin Milenov from the school for beginners from Bosilegrad also took the stage as guests.
The initiative was financed by a programme for support of Bulgarian organizations abroad at the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and by voluntary donations from the Bulgarian associations in Chicago.
The piano on which the children in Bosilegrad are taught was also a donation from a Bulgarian woman from Sofia.
The school was formed under the initiative of KIC - Bosilegrd and Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy. The teacher of the Bosilegrad children is Vladan Ivanchev from the town of Surdulitsa, who graduated from the instrumental department at the National Academy of Music.
