site.btaFire in Sofia's Gotse Delchev Borough Kills One Person, Damages 35 Cars
A man was found dead after a fire in the capital's Gotse Delchev borough, the Interior Ministry's press center told the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) on Thursday.
The incident damaged 35 cars, the duty officer at the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Civil Protection told BTA.
Six firefighting teams were sent to the scene. One of them remains there at the moment.
The fire in an abandoned building on Silivria Street was reported at 0:36 a.m. It affected an area of about 2,000 square meters. The building collapsed.
The fire has been extinguished.
