site.btaUkrainian Citizen Detained for Trying to Hit Police Officer

An Ukrainian citizen has been detained in the Sunny Beach resort after trying to hit a police officer while parking control officers attempted to place a boot on an improperly parked car, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday. 

The police arrived at the scene after parking control officers at Sunny Beach AD had requested assistance. The police officers found a group of Russian-speaking people insulting the parking control officers and preventing them from placing a boot on the vehicle, which was parked improperly. One of the men, a 39-year-old Ukrainian citizen, was handcuffed after acting aggressively and trying to hit a police officer. He was detained for up to 24 hours. 

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
