Targovishte Regional Governor Yoan Peev and the Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Dai Qingli discussed opportunities for developing cooperation between Targovishte Region and Chinese regions during a working meeting on Friday, the press centre of the regional administration said.

During the meeting, the opportunities for developing cooperation in various areas was discussed, including economy, investment, culture, education and tourism. Peev presented the economic and infrastructure potential of the region, as well as specific ideas for future partnership. "We believe that cooperation with the People's Republic of China can give a new direction to economic development in our region," he emphasized.

Ambassador Dai Qingli noted that regional cooperation is an important part of bilateral relations with Bulgaria. "I am impressed by the potential of Targovishte Region and I believe that with joint efforts we can build stable and fruitful ties between Chinese and Bulgarian regions," she pointed out.
