Four teams from the Regional Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate in Plovdiv brought under control a blaze that broke out Saturday afternoon near Krumovo Airport, Senior Commissioner Vasil Dimov, head of the Plovdiv fire service, told BTA.
The alarm was received around 1:40 p.m., with the flames spreading across about 2.5 hectares of dry grass and stubble. Firefighting efforts, now completed, were supported by crews from the airport and the KCM industrial plant.
