The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on Monday voted unanimously to approve a proposal by Justice Minister Georgi Georgiev on the allocation of a building that until recently housed the headquarters of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) for use to Bulgaria's European Delegated Prosecutors. The building is located at 45A Alexander Stamboliiski Blvd. in Sofia.

In late May 2025, regional government officials sealed the MRF headquarters. At the time, Lyubomir Borisov of the Sofia City Regional Administration, told journalists that he was carrying out an order by Regional Governor Stefan Arsov for the eviction from the building, which was the MRF's historic headquarters, of the party that was then represented by Delyan Peevski and Dzhevdet Chakarov. The reason was that the Regional Administration had granted a request by Peevski to allocate another building, at 23 Vrabcha St., to accommodate the party's headquarters.

Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov and Dimitar Belichev, who is in charge of the Bulgarian office of the European Delegated Prosecutors, gave a favourable opinion about the former MRF building.

On July 4, Regional Governor Arsov sent a letter to the SJC backing the idea.
