site.btaParliament to Discuss State Budget Amendments Related to Investment Programme of Municipalities


Parliament will discuss on first reading amendments to the 2025 State Budget Act, submitted by the Council of Ministers, according to the weekly schedule of the National Assembly.
The amendments are related to the investment programme for municipalities and reflect proposals made by mayors within the deadline of June 30, 2025. In the letters received, the mayors declared their desire to retain 2,405 projects, change the parameters of 503 projects, drop 158 projects, and add 564 new ones in the appendix. Thus, the number of projects in the appendix increases by 406, from 3,066 to 3,472, according to the submitter's explanatory memorandum. With the proposed amendment to the Investment Programme for Municipal Projects, the projected amount of the projects for the entire period becomes BGN 8.184 billion, including BGN 3.879 billion for 2025 and BGN 4.305 billion for 2026-2027, covering 3,472 projects.
The first item on Thursday’s agenda is the second vote on amendments to the Health Insurance Act, tabled by Dragomir Stoynev from the BSP - United Left parliamentary group and a group of MPs. It is proposed that the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) have two deputy directors in addition to the director.
MPs will discuss on first reading bills amending the Cadastre and Property Register Act, submitted by Bozhidar Bozhanov from Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria and the Council of Ministers.
The National Assembly will also discuss amendments to the Ministry of Interior Act on first reading.
The bill by Bozhidar Bozhanov proposes that the basis for calculating salaries in the Ministry of Interior be aligned with the average salary for the respective administrative region.
