Continue the Change (CC) will convene its National Council on July 12, 2025, to choose a strategic theme for holding the government accountable. Co-leader Kiril Petkov stated that the aim is to challenge the influence of political figures like MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski and GERB leader Boyko Borissov and push for key policy reforms.

Potential themes for a vote of no confidence include corruption in the Interior Ministry, infrastructure overspending, healthcare staff shortages, and irregularities in the energy sector. Petkov emphasized that CC will not risk Bulgaria’s eurozone accession, which will become irreversible after July 9.

He added that while Bulgaria has made strong geopolitical progress (NATO, EU, Schengen, and now eurozone), it still struggles with deep-rooted corruption, which must be addressed to improve living standards and governance.
