site.btaSurface Transport Strike Continues after Meeting of CITUB Vice President, Sofia Mayor

The blockade of surface public transit in Sofia will continue, Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) Todor Kapitanov told journalists after a meeting with Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev on Monday.

“We had three hours of talks, but no negotiations. This is the reason why there is nothing new to be proposed by the leadership of Sofia Municipality,” Kapitanov said, adding that neither side is willing to make concessions.

According to him, the next steps for CITUB will be determined after talks with the workers who are protesting.
