National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova was a guest at a ceremony in the historical town of Peshtera on the eve of its holiday, St George’s Day (May 6), which is also celebrated nationwide as Bulgarian Armed Forces Day.
Kiselova told the local people: “You should be proud that you are descendants of great Bulgarians. You should be proud that you hold the valour of our ancestors in your hearts.” She said all battles ever fought by Bulgarian soldiers are telling examples of infinite love for the Motherland, self-sacrifice and strong will.
The Parliament leader took the salute of members of the Joint Special Operations Command. MPs and government ministers were at the ceremony.
