Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov addressed on Wednesday the sponsors of the vote of no confidence in PM Rosen Zhelyazkov’s government on the topic of corruption. The vote was submitted with the signatures of 54 MPs from the parties Vazrazhdane, MECh, and Velichie. 

“With this vote you have achieved something good, you have consolidated the partners in the government. More importantly, you have consolidated around it that part of society that wants stability. In front of the eyes of the whole of Bulgaria, you have shown your complete, large-scale bankruptcy and absolute powerlessness to offer any meaningful alternative to this government,” Zafirov said.
