 Culture Minister Awards Over 80 Artists, Cultural Activists for Their Contribution to Development of Bulgarian Spirituality

Culture Minister Nayden Todorov honoured artists and figures from various fields of culture for their contribution to the development of Bulgarian spirituality and on occasion of May 24, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture, and of Slavic Literature.

The official ceremony took place at the Culture Ministry and was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Culture Amelia Gesheva, Viktor Stoyanov and Ilko Ganev, as well as directors of the Ministry's directorates.

The Culture Ministry's awards on the occasion of May 24 were given to artists, museum experts, community activists, and writers - figures from various fields of spiritual life and culture.

Awards were presented to Valya Balkanska, Rashko Mladenov, Prof. Stanislav Stanilov, Prof. Atanas Kiryakov, Prof. Nikola Lautliev, Prof. Krasimira Alexandrova. Awards will be presented later to Sylvie Vartan and Sonya Yoncheva.
