A 74-year-old climber was found dead on Mount Velouchi in Central Greece on Monday after he went missing on February 21, Kathimerini.gr reported. His body was found after a three-day search.

Earlier in the day ERT said that units from the Hellenic Fire Service, local mountain rescuers and volunteers used drones and search dogs to cover likely areas in search for the man. ERT also said the operation would continue throughout Monday because weather conditions in the area were suitable and visibility was good. According to Kathimerini, he was found in a deep ravine.

The local information website Lamiareport.gr says that the man was an experienced mountaineer. He went missing on Saturday, when he split from his 16-member group during a hike with the Nature Club of Piraeus. Attempts to reach him by mobile phone failed, and no signal could be detected from his device.
