The Constitutional Court opened a case on the request of President Rumen Radev, who challenged the constitutionality of the appointment of an acting National Audit Office (NAO) President by Parliament, the court said in a press release here on Wednesday.

Parliament Changes Rules for Nominating National Audit Office Head

Parliament changed the procedural rules for nominating the chairperson of the Chamber of Audit, which were adopted on June 23 this year. The changes extended the deadline for nominating candidates for the chairmanship to 19 days. The initial deadline was 7 days, which was then changed to 14 days.
