site.btaDeputy Minister Dechev to Council of Europe: Bulgaria Showed Will for a Responsible Prosecution and an Effective Criminal Process

Deputy Minister of Justice Emil Dechev presented to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe the legislative reform, which introduced an independent mechanism for criminal investigation of the prosecutor general and his deputies, as well as measures to increase the efficiency of criminal proceedings in Bulgaria, said the press centre of the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday.

From June 5 to 7, the Committee of Ministers to the Council of Europe holds a regular meeting on the implementation of the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in accordance with its supervisory role under Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

It is expected that the decision of the Committee will be made public after the end of the meeting.
