site.btaBurgas, Edirne Chambers of Commerce Sign Agreement to Ensure Seasonal Employment of Turkish Citizens on Black Sea Coast

The Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) signed an official cooperation agreement in Edirne on Tuesday. The main goal of the signed document is the implementation of a joint project to ensure seasonal employment of Turkish citizens in the tourism sector on the Burgas Black Sea coast.

The agreement marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of bilateral economic relations between the two neighbouring regions, said the Burgas delegation, led by BCCI head Todor Demirkov. 

Within the framework of the initiative, the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry will provide professional training through its Gastro Academy, where participants will acquire knowledge and skills to work as qualified chefs and assistant chefs. The training will be conducted with the support of lecturers from the Trakya University in Edirne.

ECCI head Sezai Irmak stated that the partnership with the BCCI inspires confidence and certainty to achieve excellent results in the common endeavor. The project is expected to contribute both to overcoming the shortage of qualified personnel in the tourism sector of Bulgaria and to creating opportunities for professional development and employment of Turkish citizens, he said.

The signing of the cooperation agreement was also attended by Bulgarian Consul General in Edirne Radoslava Kafedzhiyska.
