I hope the government will not betray the national interests as the leaders of the new coalition betrayed the trust of their voters, said President Rumen Radev before the start of the extraordinary plenary session of the National Assembly, at which the Denkov-Gabriel draft cabinet, elected with the mandate of the second political force, is to be voted.

"Our society is yet to make sense of the processes surrounding the formation of this coalition because it makes the elections meaningless and elections are the basis of democracy", Radev pointed out.

He commented that GERB, CC and DB were opponents, and now, in Radev's words, their voters have been deceived. He believes that politics is not only about finding a majority, but is above all a value. "Today's vote will show whether the MPs from these parties, whether all of them, have amputated their dignity and have accepted the role of being just an ordinary voter," the President said.
